Therese (Kuska) Colucci, 96, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Beacon Brook Center, Naugatuck. Tess was born July 23, 1928, in Waterbury, CT, and resided there her entire life. She lived for many years in the Hill Street section of Waterbury with her three brothers Walter, Stanley, and Peter Kuska, all of whom are predeceased.
Tess attended local schools, and graduated from Wilby High School in 1942. She worked for M.J. Cozy and WES Cadillac Oldsmobile for many years, retiring in 1985. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Holy Name Society. She loved spending time at “the cottage“in Clinton, CT.
Tess married her late husband, Michael Colucci, who was a force in local politics for many years, in 1965. They were married for 48 years.
She is survived by a nephew, William Synott and his wife Jane, of Merrimack, NH, and two nieces, Margaret (Synott) Green and her husband Jack, of Litchfield, CT, and Susan (Synott) Robicheau, of Machias, ME, as well as several grand nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and brothers, she was predeceased by her husband’s sister, Lucille (Colucci) Synott, a nephew Michael Synott, and a niece, Linda (Kuska) Schear.
Colasanto Funeral Home, 932 Bank St.,Waterbury, is entrusted with all arrangements. There will be no calling hours, and all services are private.
