Sandra Ann D'Angelo

Sandra Ann (Rewak) D’Angelo, age 84, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on October 29th, 2024, following a long illness.

She was born on August 28, 1940, the daughter of Peter and Anne (Sabatowich) Rewak, in Waterbury, where she grew up.

A dedicated educator, Sandra taught in Athens, Greece, Cheshire, and at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School. She loved traveling and spending quality time with family and friends. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her long walks. As a creative artist, she loved oil painting and working with stained glass.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 57 years, John, her daughter, Ann, of Boston, and her son, Jon, of New York, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be dearly missed and her spirit will live on in all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Autumn Lakes Healthcare at Bucks Hill for the care they provided to Sandra in her final years.

Calling hours for Sandra will be on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from 4:00-6:00 pm, at Colasanto Funeral Home, 932 Bank St., Waterbury. A Mass will be held at 10:00 am, on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 785 Highland Ave., Waterbury. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
